The Tinley Park varsity baseball team unleashed a relentless offensive assault on Saturday, pounding out 17 hits and pulling away late to defeat host Crete-Monee 15-9 in a high-scoring non-conference clash.

Senior Josh Aggen was virtually unstoppable, anchoring the Tinley Park lineup with a perfect 4-for-4 performance. Aggen homered, doubled, scored four times, and drove in a team-high four runs. Nolan Cashmer was equally effective, going 3-for-4 with three runs scored and three RBIs while also earning the victory on the mound. Drew Hullinger and Jeff Ecker each collected three hits, while Danny Weed doubled and drove in a pair of runs to keep the pressure on Crete-Monee all afternoon.

Despite falling behind on multiple occasions, Crete-Monee showed plenty of fight. Senior AJ Monegan sparked the offense from the top of the order, going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and wreaking absolute havoc on the basepaths with four stolen bases. Keegan Quaderer delivered a two-hit performance that included a double and three RBIs, and Wyatt Love chipped in by driving in two runs.

A combination of late-game execution and defensive struggles ultimately decided the contest. Crete-Monee pitchers struck out 10 batters—including six from Quaderer, who took the loss in a hard-fought start—but the defense committed five costly errors behind them. As a result, seven of Tinley Park’s 15 runs were unearned.

Clinging to a 9-5 lead entering the top of the seventh inning, Tinley Park erased any hopes of a comeback by erupting for six runs to put the game out of reach. Crete-Monee continued to battle, pushing four runs across in the bottom half of the frame, but the deficit proved insurmountable.
