The Will County Board on Thursday, March 19, 2026, greenlit a multi-million-dollar slate of public works contracts aimed at upgrading rural bridges, accommodating industrial growth, and maintaining existing infrastructure across the county.

Operating through its consent agenda, the board unanimously approved Resolution #26-078, awarding a contract to Coal City-based “D” Construction, Inc. at a total cost of $1,596,116.16. In preparation for future road expansions, the board authorized several professional services agreements for right-of-way acquisitions. This included Resolution #26-079, a $353,650 contract with Hampton, Lenzini and Renwick, Inc. to secure appraisals and negotiations for 43 parcels along Weber Road from Airport Road to 135th Street.
