The Monee Village Board on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, approved infrastructure spending totaling more than $445,000 for environmental restoration and park facility improvements.

The board voted unanimously to award a contract for the Iris Lane West Pond Bank Rehabilitation Project to Iroquois Paving Corporation. The project went out for bid on February 3, 2026. The village received one bid in the amount of $259,908.25.

Village Administrator Ruben Bautista reported that Robinson Engineering reviewed the bid and found it to be 1.48% lower than the estimated project cost of $263,810.

In a separate action, the board approved Pay Request #15 for the Firemen’s Park Phase 1 improvements. The payment of $185,034.67 will go to Piggush Simoneau, Inc. (PSI) for construction work recently completed.

Bautista stated that the Farnsworth Group and village staff reviewed the invoice and determined the work substantially complied with engineering plans and the requirements of the Open Space Lands Acquisition and Development (OSLAD) grant funding the project.
