Monee Township Board Meeting | December 18, 2025

The Monee Township Board held a swift, 27-minute meeting on Thursday evening to close out the year’s business. General Assistance Report:
Supervisor Donna Dettbarn reported that between November 15 and December 12, the township processed 11 intakes and six applications for assistance. The total amount distributed for General Assistance and Emergency Assistance was $3,313.14. Dettbarn noted that the Senior Holiday Brunch held earlier in the month at Cardinal Creek Golf Club in Beecher was well-attended.

Township Hall Plumbing Repairs:
The board discussed maintenance issues regarding the main bathrooms at the Monee Township Hall. Supervisor Dettbarn reported plumbing costs to date have totaled $775.00.

Pantry Renovation Delay:
Under old business, the board noted a delay in the planned renovation of the food pantry. The project is currently on hold while the township waits for the contractor to sign the acceptance agreement.

Youth Committee Update:
The board briefly discussed the Youth Committee, noting that a flyer for an upcoming program is currently being circulated. No specific details regarding the program’s content or date were included in the minutes.
