MONEE – The Village of Monee authorized substantial reimbursements to developers on Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026, approving two Tax Increment Financing (TIF) payout requests during the regular board meeting.
Village Attorney Lawrence Gryczewski presented the requests for the board’s consideration. The first item was a payout to G&I XI I-57 Logistics Center, located at 25850 South Ridgeland Avenue, in the amount of $774,313.37. The board approved the measure unanimously.
The second request was a payout to Amazon in the amount of $1,235,082.80. According to documents submitted to the village, this payment represents a portion of the incremental property taxes generated from the subject property as outlined in the redevelopment agreement established in 2016 and 2017.
Trustees voted unanimously to approve the Amazon payment as well. No discussion was held regarding the specifics of the agreements during the open session.
