The Monee Village Board on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, received a positive update on the construction of the new Tractor Supply Company store and authorized a significant reimbursement for related infrastructure.

Trustees voted unanimously to approve a pay request of $1,029,448.26 to Tractor Supply Company. This reimbursement covers development costs and public improvements, including the extension of a roadway south of the parcel to connect with Town Center Way.

“The roads are meeting up. The curb and gutter… is still underway and should be completed by Wednesday of next week,” Village Administrator Ruben Bautista said. He noted that by coordinating these improvements with the developer, the village was able to secure the infrastructure at a lower cost.

Trustee Michael Wilson reported that the building construction is moving along briskly. “The walls are almost all up, and roofing structure will begin soon so that the building can be enclosed before winter,” Wilson said.

Recent drone photos shown at the meeting depicted the progress, including the paving of the parking lot’s base layer. Wilson confirmed that the target opening date remains early February.
