During the New Business portion of the meeting, Supervisor Donna Dettbarn announced a tentative tax levy increase of 7.75% for the 2025 levy year (collectibles in the 2026-2027 budget year). Dettbarn stated that the increase is “due to release of funds from TIF 3 in Monee.”

Because the proposed increase exceeds the statutory 5% threshold that triggers public notification requirements, the township must hold a public hearing. The Board scheduled the “Truth in Taxation” hearing for Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 7:00 p.m., immediately preceding the regular monthly meeting.
