Trustees voted unanimously to award the 2025 Sidewalk Improvement project to M&J Underground Inc. The company was the lowest bidder at $377,686.46. According to Board Action Requests presented by Administrator Ruben Bautista, the bid was approximately 5.5 percent higher than the engineer’s estimated cost of $357,880.

In a separate motion, the board awarded the contract for the McCorkle Pond Remediation to Earthwerks Land Improvement. Earthwerks submitted the lowest bid of $321,730.00. This project also came in slightly above the projected budget, approximately 4.5 percent higher than the engineer’s estimate of $307,794.

Both projects were reviewed by village staff and Robinson Engineering and found to be complete and responsive to contract requirements.
