Village of Monee Board Meeting | August 13, 2025

Fall Fest Preparations:

Recent improvements at the park include the installation of sod on the football field and new volleyball nets. The board also approved a request from the Knights of Columbus to conduct their annual Tootsie Roll Drive from September 19 through September 21.

Tractor Supply Construction Update:
Trustee John Henson reported that Tractor Supply has been issued permits to begin full site construction. The excavation is well underway, with two large retention ponds already dug out. Due to dry conditions, landscaping may be delayed until early spring, but the store remains on track to open in late January or early February 2026.

New Legal Counsel:
Following an executive session, the board voted unanimously to have Mayor Therese Bogs request an engagement letter from the law offices of Burke, Burns & Pinelli, Ltd. for review. This signals a potential transition in the village’s legal representation.
