Budget Transfers Approved: The Finance Committee approved transferring $18,643 within the Supervisor of Assessments budget to move funds from software licensing to computer hardware purchases.

Animal Protection Services Funding: Committee members approved a $250,000 transfer from full-time salaries to professional services in the Animal Protection Services budget to address operational needs.

Coroner’s Grant Appropriation: The committee approved appropriating $4,386 in grant funds from the Illinois Department of Public Health Office of Vital Records for the Coroner’s budget operating supplies.

Vehicle Surplus Declaration: Nine county vehicles and two trailers were declared surplus and authorized for competitive bidding disposal, including several older police vehicles and trailers dating from 1999 to 2013.

Health Department Fund Transfers: The committee approved transferring $200,000 within the Community Health Center budget, moving $150,000 from full-time salaries and $50,000 from health insurance to temporary contracted services.

Behavioral Health Services Expansion: Members approved appropriating $1.1 million in unexpended funds from the Will County 708 Community Mental Health Board to expand behavioral health services at the Health Department, including additional staff positions and equipment.

Meeting Schedule: The Finance Committee’s next regular meeting is scheduled for July 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the County Board Committee Room.
