The Monee Village Board on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, authorized spending and provided updates on a flurry of activity across the village.
In infrastructure news, Public Works Superintendent Ed Johnson reported that sidewalk installation is underway this week. Crews are working on connectivity projects along Will Center Road, Linden Avenue, and Margaret Street, as well as replacing damaged panels throughout the village.
The board approved the purchase of a new 2025 Ford F-150 pickup truck for the Building Services department from D’Orazio Ford. By honoring the state bid price, the dealer saved the village over $8,000, bringing the total to $51,456.70.
Economic Development Director Bill Barnes updated the board on several commercial projects. Construction on the new Tractor Supply Co. is moving quickly, with walls up and roofing expected soon to enclose the building before winter.
