Monee Township May 15 Meeting Briefs

State legislation opposition: Supervisor Donna Dettbarn reported receiving correspondence from State Representative Anthony DeLuca regarding the township’s opposition to several state bills (HB2515, SB2504, SB2217, and SB227) that would eliminate various township functions.

General assistance report: The township processed 10 intakes and eight applications between April 11 and May 9, distributing $2,824.14 in emergency assistance. The township food pantry served 34 people during the period.

Road work bidding: Highway Commissioner David Deutsche is preparing bid documents for road work to be completed in the township, though specific projects were not detailed in his report.
